Introduction

ILAP Analytics provides a role-based access system to ensure that users have the appropriate level of permissions for their responsibilities. The platform defines three main roles: Admin, Writer, and Reader. Each role is tailored to meet specific needs, from consuming data to managing schedules and configuring the system.

Overview of Roles

  1. Reader: A role designed for users who primarily consume data and need read-only access to the application.

  2. Writer: A more advanced role that includes all Reader permissions, with additional capabilities to maintain and post report schedules.

  3. Admin: The most comprehensive role, with permissions for system setup and configuration, as well as all Writer capabilities.

Readers are consumers of data within ILAP Analytics. Their main responsibilities include:

  • Data Consumption:
Access and view report schedules and their associated data. Use the platform's read-only features to analyze schedules and performance metrics.

  • Read only Access:
Readers can explore and interact with the application without making any changes to data or configurations.

Writers play an active role in maintaining and updating report schedules. Their responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Report Schedules:
Update and manage existing report schedules to ensure they reflect the latest information.

  • Post Schedules to Report Schedules:
Submit new schedules and revisions, ensuring that they integrate seamlessly into the reporting system.

  • Reader Permissions:
Writers retain all the viewing and analysis permissions available to Readers, enabling them to consume data as well as manage it.

Admins are responsible for the overall setup and configuration of ILAP Analytics. In addition to Writer responsibilities, they manage the system’s core features and customization options. Their responsibilities include:

  • Setup and Configuration:
Define and configure schedule types, ensuring that they align with organizational needs and standards. Manage fields to control the content requirements for incoming schedules.

  • Full Access:
Admins inherit all Writer and Reader permissions, granting them the ability to view, manage, and configure the platform comprehensively.
