This section is about running an ILAP Analytics installation once it exists: keeping it healthy, connecting it to the systems around it, and upgrading it over time. New Customer covers the first installation, and everything here assumes that has already happened. It is written for the IT administrator responsible for an installed environment.
What this section covers
- Straight after deployment — the checklist that confirms every component is up and processing schedules.
- How the parts talk to each other — component interactions, inbound and outbound ports, and the IP whitelisting that has to be in place for those calls to succeed.
- Connecting the IDE desktop client through a connector, using either Azure AD sign-in or a service account token.
- Authentication and access — managed identity authentication between the Azure resources, and the Entra ID roles that decide what a user may do.
- Time-phasing — the external service that periodizes planned and actual work, and how to register it with your installation.
- Day-to-day operations — the Hangfire dashboard for background jobs, life-cycle management for upgrades from the IDE Installation Center, and the technical specifications of a deployed environment.
- Securing the installation — the deployment creates functional Azure resources; hardening them to your corporate standards is the operator's responsibility, and this section lists the measures available.
Where to go next
Release notes records what changed in each version, including any change a release requires to your deployment. Read it before upgrading.
